La Zenia
La Zenia is one of the most popular beach-side residential urbanization of Orihuela Costa (South of Alicante), an open beach with fine sand with a length of 350 meters long by 60 wide. It is located between Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig.
Only 30 minutes drive from Murcia Airport and 45 minutes from Alicante Airport, Zenia offer many services and facilities. Due to its location, maintenance and services available, it has been awarded with the Blue Flag.
Among the many services offered, there is the possibility to practice all kinds of water sports. In addition there is surveillance, sea reports, special access for the disabled, footbaths and showers, lifeguard, public telephone, parking, taxi and bus stops, gateways to the sea, playground, etc. You can also find numerous restaurants serving delicious dishes on the beach.
Do not worry about buying souvenirs, local produced products or home appliances, there is a shopping centre in La Zenia, with a big supermarket, bars, restaurants, shops, etc. If you enjoy playing golf, there are 2 main golf courses within 10 minutes drive, the Villamartin and Campoamor golf courses.
Great weather, and all sorts of activities at your fingertips! Even in high winter, expect only a little humidity and the sunshine quota is around 6 hours. Compared to previous years, Zenia beach has become extremely dry, with little rainfall. From July to September, the sea temperature is at its warmest, ideal for water sports enthusiasts.
Torrevieja is located only ten minutes drive away, where you can find just about everything, it offers many attractions in the area for the whole family. So, if you fancy going to the cinema, bowling, pubs, restaurants, boutiques, waterfront market, etc, a visit to Torrevieja is a must.
