DayaVieja Festivals
The village still preserves traditions that are manifested in various celebrations taking place throughout the year. Starting with Christmas we highlight the "Salida del Niño" which is a religious procession through all the homes in the area to bless them.
There is another festival in May , the traditional festival of San Isidro, patron of farmers, usually celebrated around May 15. It is traditional to eat the typical rabbit paella, a dessert called "almojábanas," or the delicious "brazo de gitano". The musical accompaniment is never lacking in these demonstrations and, of course, after the meal, the essential dance festival comes in handy.
