Daya Nueva, Alicante- Spain
Daya Nueva is located southeast of Alicante, in the comarca of Bajo Segura, and only 3.2 Km from Almoradi. It is a lovely little village surrounded by orange and lemon trees and a short drive away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Guardamar, La Marina, Gran Alacant, Torrevieja, etc.
If you are arriving to Alicante Airport "El Altet", it is only 24 km away, while if arriving to Murcia Airport "San Javier", it is located 37 Km away. DayaNueva is a small municipality of 2,000 inhabitants. The municipality is crossed by the AP-7 (motorway Alicante-Cartagena), so it is particularly well-connected with the capital and the airport, the coast, the Vega Baja Hospital, etc.
This is a traditional irrigation area, the agriculture is one of its main resources, so it is completely surrounded by orange, lemon, artichokes and potatoes plantation fields. The furniture industry and all construction-related services are part of the municipality's industrial gear, which has an Industrial Park "La Fábrica" of 60,000 m2 with direct access from the motorway AP-7 Alicante-Cartagena.

Daya Nueva Festivals
The most important festival is held between the 20th and 30th of September, numerous events take place characterized by citizen participation, such as processions, popular festivals, parades, children's games, sports, exhibitions and religious acts, ending with the solemn procession.
There is another celebration on October 7th, where everybody goes to church and afterwards they have a typical lunch of chocolate cakes prepared by the residents. The celebration will culminate at dawn with the procession, crowned with the shining castle fireworks. The second Sunday of March there is a St. Patrick's celebration party, for the integration of foreign neighbors.
On December 8th they celebrate the Inmaculada Concepcion, patroness of the village.
