Either you are relaxing with a Sangria at a beach bar and you wish to read about the news, either you are going to buy a property in Benidorm or retire in this sunny Mediterranean spot, the local area newspapers in English keep you updated with everything hot in Costa Blanca! Since the travel booming that started in the early ‘70’s, many foreigners moved to Costa Blanca and particularly to Benidorm, and today the city hosts a quite big community of English-speakers.

The most popular newspaper in English, with an updated edition online is Costa Blanca News . It is a weekly newspaper, the most read of the Benidorm area, and actually the oldest publication in English. The main sections are of wide interest – Spanish and local news, sports, real estate. The Publish group owning the Costa Blanca News started also in 1996 Costa del Sol News, in Malaga.

There are other publications in Costa Blanca area, which became  of interest, such as: Euroweekly News (owned by the same Publish group as Costa Blanca News), Informacion, La Verdad, Metro and Noticias in Alicante, Hallo in Altea, El Periodico and Leader in Torrevieja. 

The biggest advantage of Costa Blanca News publication among all the  newspapers is the English language, enabling the access to the local and Spanish news for the visitors, expats, business people and retired foreigners.

There are other titles among the local newspapers with free distribution, which appeared recently, targeting the English-speaking population and the travelers, base their financial support on the local advertising. One of these is Round Town News, distributed free in the whole Costa Blanca. This publication can be accessed online too.
