Alicante Gay

One of Spain’s fastest growing cities, and especially boomed by the tourists looking for the real Spain, the city is also home to a friendly and thriving gay and lesbian culture. There are plenty of bars, hotels and also a private beach for gays and lesbians.

Head to La Marina, a gay nudist beach, 20 min drive outside the city. Bringing most of the sun and fun, La Marina hosts incendiar party days for the Alicante gays and lesbians, with the whole arsenal of marquees, booze and dancing.

Comparing to other gay beaches in Europe, such as Mykonos, La Marina promotes very friendly attitude, being a refreshing alternative even to the other gay beaches in Spain.

Alicante Gay Bars and Clubs

As evening comes by, you can socialize over a glass of wine at one of the city gay scene's many bars. El Forat, the oldest gay bar in Alicante is the most popular, featuring eclectic decoration and a bohemian atmosphere (Plaza Santisima Santa Faz).

There is also Arte y Jaleo (c/ Poeta Quintana, 26) with its very cozy atmosphere and the bar-club Divina (c/ Montengón 7), always crowded, a place to enjoy the Europop music.

The night is young and its about time to move on to the dance scene. For excellent music and a stellar evening, head on to the Enigma, the only galactic themed club in the area (c/ San Agatangelo 5).

The Missing club mixes the friendly atmosphere of a pub and the booming energy of a nightclub. (c/Gravina 4) For a striptease show go to the wild Canibal Pub (c/Cesar Elguezabal 26), and dance all night to the blasting music at the Venial Club (c/Conde de Soto Ameno).

"Clubbing in Alicante doesn't really kick off until 3am at the earliest. The bars finish up and you will find lots of boys and girls out on the streets looking for the next club to dance the night away!"
