ALICANTE FISHING

Alicante is famous for many things that make it a perfect holiday destination. Fishing in Alicante is just another way to relax in this beautiful part of Spain.

There are many places in Alicante province you can go to enjoy fishing and have a memorable time.

A day ticket fishery does not necessarily cost you money. Most simply require permission from the relevant authority.

EMBALSE DE LA PEDRERA

This water has free fishing for carp, black bass and barbel. There is no shade or cover, so make sure to take an umbrella and plenty of sun protection cream.

EMBALSE DEL AMADORIO

Clean fishery with low water levels. Small to mid sized carp are the target species.

LA GOLA

Located in Guardamar del Segura. Mullet, sea bass, gilthead, palometa, tuna. Very busy during summertime with holidaymakers. May, June, October and November are good months to fish.

EMBALSE DE GUADALEST

It is a beautiful place. The free fishing is fantastic, the access is a little difficult so be ready for a long walk.

PLAYA DE SAN JUAN

Sand beach next to Alicante. Depths about 2 and 3 metres, up to 140 metres from shore.

PANTANO DE BENIARRES

A carp fishery located in a mountain area. The fishing is free.

EMBALSE DE CREVILLENTE

Located just 3km from Crevillente, it has good fishing for carp, barbel and black bass. The fishing is free.

TABARCA ISLAND

You can get to the island by regular ferries from Santa Pola and Alicante. Gilthead, dentex, European barracuda, striped bream, sea bass. Some of the area is a nature reserve, so check the signs.
