ALICANTE AIRPORT INFORMATIONAlicante airport is the main airport for the city of Alicante and for other destinations such as Benidorm, Denia, Calpe, Torrevieja and all the cities along the Costa Blanca. It is located 9km to the south of Alicante, around 80% of all passenger traffic at Alicante Airport comes from International flights, with the passengers from the UK, Holland and Germany being amongst the highest number of visitors. There are ATM machines on each level of the terminal building, as well as currency exchange booths on levels P0 and P1. There is a post office located on level P-1. The airport has a pharmacy in Arrivals, open from 7:00 to 23:00. The airport has an excellent selection of cafés, restaurants and bars. At the moment, this area is accessed from the main terminal through a link module connecting the two buildings.With the start-up of T2, Alicante Airport now has 4 more boarding gates, taking the overall number of boarding gates from 12 to 16. Moreover, the airport's operating capacity has increased by 22 percent, as its hourly operations have risen from 18 to 22.
